'Rough Messages" is essentially a rawer and stripped down sounding version of my 2018 Album "Messages To Myself".

The sessions for "Messages To Myself" began on Christmas Eve of 2017 and eventually wrapped up in early July of 2018. Upon starting, the initial idea was to keep the album sounding "Fat Free" and with minimal overdubs. However, for whatever reason, that idea didn't quite pan out as planned and eventually the entire project came out sounding quite - Some might say - "Produced"

i have always enjoyed enhancing and embelleshing a track in a studio setting...But i also have a "Lo-Fi" type sensibility which pushes me towards a rawer type of sound.....Ultimately, this means less enhancing; Less Produced.

So, incorporating Early Mixes, Rough Mixes and Demos, this version of "Messages To Myself" retitled "Rough Messages" aims to stay true to the ethos of the original plan and to have the Album sounding, roughly, how it was supposed to. Don't get me wrong, i love the sound of the released album - I would not have put it out it otherwise - But i was always curious to know what the album would have sounded like had i stuck to my original idea.

"Messages To Myself' was released on the 6th of August 2018 and is available to download from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all other good download outlets.

"Rough Messages" is exclusive to my Bandcamp page.

All tracks recorded between December 2017 - July 2018.
